MY 2 CENTS: materialism
From The Mind Of

I myself, used to buy the most expensive shirt or shoes on the rack just for the name on it. I fell in love with owning the most in style brands, blowing whatever money I could get my hands on. Mind you, I've only had one job my entire life. $100 for a BBC t-shirt, check. $300 for some rare Nike SB's, check. You name it, i blew my loot on it. I've done alot of growing up these past few years, if you knew me back in high school, you'd see how far along i've come. Now, i could care less about what i wear or own. I JUST got an XBOX this past Christmas, the last pair of shoes i bought were a pair of $40 Toms, which i plan on wearing the hell out of. I wear nothing but blank tees and thermal shirts.. I could seriously give two fucks whats in right now. I used to be obsessed with Stussy, Nike SB, Diamond Supply. Now, when i see people around with it, i laugh. They pay a ridiculous amount for clothes with shitty quality, don't buy something just because it's hot. An old friend of mine back in New Jersey has a brand of his own, it's called Award Tour. He stresses that originality is the key to setting yourself apart from everyone else. The name on the shirt should not define the person you are. The next time you're out, buying your shit for the summer, think about it. Would rather pay more for less, or less for more? I know if i bought a $200 hoodie, i'm gonna wear that shit everyday until the summer starts. Be practical guys, save your money for more important things.
